The Knoxville Convention Center opened in 2008 next to the "Sunsphere", one of the remaining bits of architecture from the 1982 Knoxville World's Fair. The center has over 500,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space spanning three floors. The main exhibit halls can be combined for just under 120,000 square feet of space or used separately (70,626 and 49,296 square feet). The ballroom area on the third floor can be divided into as many as six sections, suitable for weddings of 100 to 800 guests.
