The Wright Brothers National Memorial commemorates the first successful flights by Orville and Wilbur Wright on December 17, 1903. A 60-foot tall granite monument sits atop Kill Devil Hill to mark the spot and there's a visitor center containing exhibits including replicas of the Wright Brothers' planes and gliders.
