Pittsburgh is an old steel mill city that became a major regional business and financial hub. A lot of work (and more than a little bit of money) has gone into using the city's location - at the confluence of the "three rivers" and surrounded by some very hilly terrain - to transform it into a pleasant and fast-growing place to live.
