Although most know it simply as BWI, the official name of this airport just south of Baltimore is Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport - which is why everyone just calls it "BWI". Located about 10 miles south of downtown Baltimore, BWI is also the airport of choice for many who live in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. It's easily accessible by car via I-195, which is a relatively short road that connects I-95, Route 1 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
