Clear Lake National Wildlife Refuge contains over 46,000 acres of protected wildlife habitat, including 20,000 acres of open water. The refuge is located on the southern edge of the California/Oregon border and is closed to public entry to protect endangered and threatened species. Clear Lake is part of the Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuge Complex.
