Colonial Williamsburg is the world-famous "living museum" that recreates the village in the historic district of the city of Williamsburg, Virginia. It contains a mix of restored buildings and re-creations of historic structures that were lost before the project began in the 1930's. Demonstrations of colonial life are performed throughout the year by actors in period costumes.
