Pinnacles National Park contains over 26,000 acres of rugged mountainous area in central coastal California. Situated on the southern end of the Gabilan Range, the park is about 80 miles south of San Francisco and 40 miles inland from the Pacific. There are no roads that go through the park, so there are visitor stations on the east side (Pinnacles Visitor Center) and west (Chaparral Visitor Contact Station).
