Tropicana Field is a domed stadium located in St. Petersburg, Florida. It's primarily known as the home of Major League Baseball's Tampa Bay Rays (formerly the Tampa Bay Devil Rays). It opened in 1990 in an (ultimately successful) attempt to bring baseball to the Tampa Bay area. It has also been known as "Florida Suncoast Dome" and "Thunderdome".
