The United States Capitol Building is the meeting place of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. It's the site of the quadrennial inaugural ceremonies of the President of the United States. A new underground visitors center opened in 2009 on the east side of the building. Most of the offices of Senators and Representatives are in separate buildings within walking distance of the Capitol.
