A 30-story pyramid with two 22-story towers, the Luxor occupies 47 acres on the Strip and is approximately 3 miles from McCarran International Airport.The hotel's casino measures over 120,000 square feet with tables for blackjack, baccarat, and pai gow can be found alongside slot machines, a poker room, race and sports book, and keno lounge. The IMAX Theatre offers a selection of new movies including some in 3-D. The hotel has nine on-site restaurants and cafes inside the hotel. The 12,000-square-foot Oasis Spa offers 16 treatment rooms for facials, massages, and relaxing body treatments. It also offers exercise equipment and a beauty salon. The hotel also features shopping in the Giza Galleria, and just outside the shops, a moving walkway takes guest to the Excalibur Hotel and Casino while a long hallway connects to Mandalay Bay.
The pool area has four outdoor pools, and two outdoor spas are available.
The Ra Nightclub will be close July 22, 2006 and will not be reopening
Beginning July 31, 2006, the Pyramid cafe will be closed until the end of August for kitchen improvements. Other dining options will be available during this time. All construction areas will be closed off to the public until work is complete.
