St. Regis Deer Crest Resort Opens In Utah’s Deer Valley

The St. Regis luxury hotel chain has opened the new St. Regis Deer Crest Resort at the Deer Valley ski resort in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains.  In addition to easy access to the ski runs of Deer Valley, the hotel offers the first Jean-Georges restaurant in Utah, the Remède Spa, the first hotel funicular in North America, a “European-style ski beach”, a world-class fitness center and 14,000+ square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Guests at The St. Regis Deer Crest Resort can choose from 181 rooms, including 67 one-bedroom suites that can be combined with adjacent “luxuriously appointed guest rooms” to create group accommodations of up to four bedrooms.  You arrive at the resort in interesting fashion, starting at the hotel’s “Snow Park Building” and traveling directly into the St. Regis’ main building across a 230-foot climb on the hotel’s funicular tram.

The resort’s interiors were designed by Linda Snyder Associates and emphasize “contemporary sophistication” that reflects Deer Valley’s natural surroundings with “rich finishes and rugged undertones” through the use of natural stones, woods and metals.  Guest rooms feature 37-inch LCD HDTV with DVD player, sound system, MP3 docking station and a 17-inch LCD television tucked inside in the bathroom mirror.  Suites add fireplaces, a 42-inch LCD hi-def TV, kitchens and expanded living areas.

The “ski beach” at The St. Regis Deer Crest Resort offers great mountain views from chaise lounges on the 3,000 square foot Mountain Terrace. Enjoy the 40-foot long “Fire Garden” and a multi-tiered, year-round swimming pool plus two outdoor hot tubs.

The J&G Grill is the resort’s signature Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant and offers a selection of Jean-Georges’ finest dishes from his restaurants around the world. 6,000 bottles of wine await oenophiles in The St. Regis Wine Vault, with close to 1,000 different wine labels featured.
