The “new” Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel is now open for business. Formerly known as the “Albuquerque Grand Airport Hotel”, it recently got a $14 million renovation and has been “re-flagged” as a Sheraton. The hotel is located within walking distance of the main terminal of the Albuquerque International Sunport airport.
At 15 stories tall and with 276 rooms, the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport not only has plenty of room for visitors it also offers some pretty nice views of the Sandia Mountains and downtown Albuquerque. Easy access to I-25 will get you to the University of New Mexico or downtown in no time.
All 276 rooms have been refurnished and re-lit, plus now have flat screen TVs and the “Sheraton Sweet Sleeper” beds. Members of the Sheraton Club get complimentary breakfast and hors d’oeuvres every evening. The upgraded fitness facility now features the Sheraton Fitness program. Also on-site are a full-service restaurant and lounge, Rojo Grill Restaurant, and 12,000+ square feet of meeting space for groups of up to 640.
The Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel is less than two miles from the University of New Mexico’s University Arena, Isotopes Park baseball stadium (home of the minor League Albuquerque Isotopes and the University of New Mexico baseball team) and University Stadium.
