We recently checked out TripAdvisor’s list of top amusement parks. There’s something for everyone; coaster-filled parks for thrill seekers, water parks for fun on hot days, animal parks, themed parks, parks for youngsters, and more.
Here are some of the parks that made the list:
Universal’s Islands of Adventure – Part of Universal Orlando Resort, this theme park includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and other rides and entertainment based on Universal Studio productions.
Discovery Cove – Lots of reviewers call this Seaworld operated theme park a great value. Food and drinks are included with the entry fee. You also get admission to SeaWorld and Aquatica waterpark. Reviewers like the variety of things to do, including the dolphin swim and snorkeling with tropical fish.

Universal Studios Hollywood – This Los Angeles theme park is extremely popular. Reviewers comment that things get crowded, but everyone still seems to have a good time.
Disneyland Park – The original still thrills visitors.
Cedar Point Amusement Park – This park is known for its roller coasters – 17 on them!
Busch Gardens Tampa – A mix of rides, animal exhibits, and entertainment make this a popular park.
Dollywood – Dolly Parton’s amusement park at the foot of the Smokey Mountains features roller coasters, water rides, and lots of entertainment.
Six Flags Magic Mountain – Los Angeles area park known for roller coasters and thrill rides.
Silver Dollar City – This Branson theme park has rides but also lots of shopping and entertainment.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg – “Old Country” themed amusement park with rides and entertainment. Many reviewers comment on how beautiful the park is.
Santa’s Village – This Christmas-themed park has rides and a water park. Visiting Santa’s Village is tradition for many New England families.
Hershey Park – Big amusement park with thrill rides, water park, and zoo.
Storybook Land – This park is particularly nice for families with young children. In operation since 1955.
