Turner Field is the former home of Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves. The stadium was originally built as Centennial Olympic Stadium for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. The stadium was downsized from 85,000 seats to a capacity of 50,000 for baseball. It's named in honor of former team owner Ted Turner. The Braves moved to Sun Trust Park in 2017.
