Some Culture from the Hyatt Regency Waikiki

The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa has added a couple of new “cultural experiences” for those visitors to Honolulu who may be interested in more than just Hawaii’s most famous beach.  Two new tours – a historical tour of Pualeilani and a weekly “wine walk” – offer an opportunity to experience some of the relatively unknown aspects of Waikiki.

The tour of Pualeilani is a guided tour of some of the areas near the hotel that were part of the Queen Kapi’olani estate.  The narrated tour takes about 45 minutes and is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:30am.  Perhaps the best part – it’s free!

The Wednesday Wine Walk takes place on – you guessed it – Wednesdays, with stops at several nearby restaurants.  The cost is only $20 – reservations and pre-payment required.

Guest rooms at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa have either views of downtown Honolulu or the Pacific Ocean.  The hotel’s restaurants include The Colony, Ciao Mein (an interesting mix of Chinese and Italian cuisines) and Hyatt On The Beach (a beachside snack bar).  The Hyatt Regency is just one example of the excellent group of 4 star hotels in Honolulu.
