Atlantic City is a smaller, but still very popular, version of Las Vegas. Millions come to experience the thrill of legalized casino gambling in a concentrated form not found elsewhere in the eastern half of the country. Atlantic City is a bit shabby in places but the glitz of the casinos tends to overwhelm the less appetizing areas.
