A major new outlet mall is scheduled to open in the Chicago area on August 1st: Fashion Outlets of Chicago. The mall’s 120 stores will be a very short drive from the terminals at O’Hare Airport – in fact, they’re going to be offering shuttle bus service to/from the airport for travelers who have extended layovers at “ORD”.
The mall will feature a wide variety of retail stores, many of them well-known luxury brands. The “anchor” stores will include outlets by Bloomingdale’s, Neiman-Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue and Forever 21. Other stores range from Aeropostale to Zumiez, including Calvin Klein, Coach, DKNY, Gucci, Guess, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Prada, Steve Madden, Tommy Hilfiger and Under Armour. It’s shoe store heaven with Converse, Cole Haan, Clark’s, Crocs, Kenneth Cole, Nike, Puma, Saucony and Skechers outlets.
Eating options will include the usual food court plus a couple of “fine dining” establishments: Prasino and Villagio. The mall is located one mile east of the terminals at O’Hare, just off of I-294 and a short drive from both I-90 and I-190. The proximity to O’Hare Airport means you’ll find plenty of hotels near Fashion Outlets of Chicago.
